This is a gorgeous red and white handmade glass bullfinch figuring by Oiva Toikka. The bird is in excellent condition with no noticeable flaws. This particular figurine came into production in 1994 at Nuutajärvi glass hut and was discontinued on December 31, 2019 at Iittala. This specific bird is signed by the artist and has a sticker for Iittala. This figuring measures 5 inches in length, 3 inches wide, and approximately 3 inches tall. A design legend, Toikka created an iconic collection of Iittala glass birds in 1972, which combined his passion for nature and blown glass art. Each bird has its own personality, making it a one-of-a-kind art object. Handmade and mouthblown at the Iittala Glass Factory, the collection fuses glassmaking traditions and Toikka’s partnership with his master craftsmen. The Ruby Bird is a rich translucent red color dotted with silvery gold flecks. Original factory sticker and Toikka’s signature on the bottom. These corporate custom-order birds are often limited in quantity and may not be intended for sale, so they are all considered to be extremely rare, as introduced by Scope. They were rated with 4 stars for their rarity. This item does not come with a box. The chest part is a deep blue that transmits light, while the rest is covered in a luster finish, making it a chic and vibrant bird fitting for the name Night Turn. It is also a very well-balanced specimen in terms of its shape. Size: Approximately W220×D110×H120mm (individual differences may occur). Stored at home (non-smoking, no pets). Up for sale today is my beautiful iitilla bird. This bird is a true masterpiece in glass making. The bird is in good condition with no cracks or chips. The reason for the Read part in the title. This is a 100% authentic bird. But it is a third class bird. What that means is that iitilla has three classifications for its birds. 1st class which is perfect, 2nd class which has few imperfections, and third class which has more imperfections. This one is a third class. So there is no signature on the bottom. It is still a iitilla bird. But they didn’t have it signed because it’s 3rd class. This would still be an amazing addition to your collection. See pictures closely because this is the exact item I will be sending you.
