Pictured below is an excellent and large vintage modern blown glass barn owl designed by Oiva Toikka for Iittala, Nuutajarvi, Finland, circa 96. The handmade piece features a stylized, idiosyncratic design of an owl, with a rounded, closed-form body. The exterior feathered surface is lightly iridized in a combination of light gray, brown and blue glass; the big eyes and beak are medium orange and black. This is a substantial, weighty piece and a very well-executed example, with clean, modern lines and lots of personality. Measurements: The owl stands about 6 tall and measures about 4 in diameter at its widest point. Condition: It is in excellent used vintage condition, no chips, cracks, notable scratches, or other issues. Marks: It is signed on the bottom with acid-etched marks, O.
