For your consideration we have a charming art glass Rautaruukki bird by famed glass artist, Oiva Toikka, for Iittala Glass Works of Finland. The stylized bird features an ovoid body in bright red-orange glass ending in a pinched flat tail and topped with a rounded head in mottled blue with a pulled beak to the front. This beautiful piece is in excellent condition. M easuring approximately 2 1/2 in height x 4′ wide, it is etched. On it’s base. Oiva Toikka’s inspiration and imagination find expression in his glass birds. Toikka’s birds are handmade in Nuutajärvi, a glass-making village in Finland that is two hundred years old.
