Show off your impeccable sense of style with the iittala’s Black Ibis and give your guests something to talk about. A highly collectable piece of glass, the Black Ibis was created by designer Oiva Toikka and is truly unique. Like polished onyx, the inky black glass is expertly mouth-blown to create this bird’s perfectly rounded body. Known for holding one pose for long moments of time, the Ibis is aptly captured in a stoic wading position. The opaque face and shimmering iridescent silver beak stand out against the deep abyss of the bird’s body. Perched on a pedestal base, the Black Ibis by iittala flaunts intelligent design and breathtaking beauty. The 2011 collection of birds by Oiva Toikka are individually mouth-blown by the master glassblowers at iittala’s glassworks in Nuutajrvi, Finland. Each handcrafted iittala Toikka Black Ibis carries the signature O. Toikka Nuutajrvi on its base to ensure its authenticity. 8-1/2″ L x 3-1/4″ W x 6-1/2 H (21.6 x 8.25 x 16.5 cm). O Toikka, Nuutajärvi (hand-etched). This bird is no longer in production.
