This stout little bird looks a lot like the object from which its name is derived. Constructed of clear glass, and spotted with white markings, Snowball has a wintry, arctic feel. Its eyes are a vibrant red, in contrast to its prominent white beak. Designed by Anu Pentinnen, this bird has a wonderful personality that will bring a smile to your face every time you look at it. And since all of Penttinens birds are made by the skilled artisans at Nuutajrvis Glass Factory, they are expertly crafted and meticulously finished. 6-1/2″ H x 4″ Diameter (16.5 x 10.2 cm).

The Ruffed Grouse is a special limited-edition Oiva Toikka design. Each hand-numbered Ruffed Grouse features a unique texture not found on other birds by Toikka. The rich translucent golden brown body is adorned with spots of pearl white and reflective blue throughout the Ruffed grouses stout form. The coloring also contributes to its unique texture. Each pearl white spot is inlayed in the golden brown body with a slight channel around the two colors the reflective blue spots are layered on top picking up light from all directions. Created for the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington. Your limited-edition Ruffed Grouse is an individually made, mouth-blown piece of art handcrafted by the master glassblowers at iittalas famous glassworks in Nuutajrvi, Finland. Each Ruffed Grouse is hand-etched and number O Toikka Nuutajrvi, 476/750 at its base. 6-1/2″ L x 4″ W x 5-1/2 H (16.5 x 10.1 x 14 cm). O Toikka, Nuutajärvi xxx/750 (hand-etched).
