This sweet, petite art glass figurine of a Little Tern (Tirri Punainen), was designed and hand-blown by renowned Finnish artist Oiva Toikka in 2009. Signed by Toikka himself, it is a true original, not a licensed reproduction. Crafted using a traditional art glass production technique, it measures approximately 2.75″ in length x 2″ in height, (7 x 5 cm). In it’s original box, it is in excellent condition. The first glass birds of Birds by Toikka collection were designed in 1972 by Professor Oiva Toikka, renowned for his unique contribution to Finnish art glass over the past half-century. So far over 400 species have been created, some of them more enduring in production than others. Each bird is a mouth-blown, unique individual, signed with the artist’s name.
