Its lovely white body is speckled with air bubbles and light brownish markings, which give the illusion of plumage. This effect is the result of a serendipitous event at the Nuutajrvi glass factory in which workers discovered that dirt left in the molds produced tracery-like markings on the glass. Toikka, seeing the potential in these markings, decided to incorporate this supposed defect into his designs.
