Classic Timo Sarpaneva large bird bottle from Finland. Hand blown thin glass. Original i-color green early production signed 1957 first production year. Signature “Timo Sarpaneva Iittala -57″. Lintupullo is a Finnish name for the Bird bottle. Designed by Timo Sarpaneva in 1956 and manufactured in Iittala Glass Factory until 1968. Has some water stains as in light gray circles inside the bottle mostly in the bottom part. So she is not the cleanest one I’ve seen but also far from worst. Excellent addition to your collections as the blumber shape, rare color and higher strong shoulders are sign of the earliest production. Stands approx 20 cm tall. Classic Timo Sarpaneva round bird bottle from Finland. Hand blown thin glass. Lintupullo is a Finnish name for the Bird bottle. Designed by Timo Sarpaneva in 1956 and manufactured in Iittala Glass Factory until 1968. Color is original i-color gray which was mixed with purple color and has a small purple hint depending on the light. I have owned many bird bottles. The problem with these is finding ones without grayness (water stains). Sometimes luckily they are cleanable and sometimes it’s already in a state of glass sickness. Yes there might be small normal signs of use but the bottle is free from grayness, has wonderful shape and original color. Signed “Timo Sarpaneva Iittala -58″ so this is early production piece. Stands approx 16.5 cm tall. I post world wide and wrap with care. All my items are insured for lost or broken I’m happy to answer all your questions.
