Timo Sarpaneva designed glass pitcher i-405 in 1956 and it was manufactured in Iittala, Finland. Heavy hand blown glass with clear bottom and green body. Even though this is designed with a everyday function it’s consideres as art glass. This one is my favorites from my collection. As this is signed from 1957 it’s one of the earliest from the series. You can see that from the shape and how the base has been polished. Signed “Timo Sarpaneva Iittala -57″. Really rare in green color. I’ve seen many of this series pitchers and this is the nicest one. 23.5 cm (9’25). Only small signs of use. No deep scratches, cracks or chips missing. I post world wide and wrap with care.
