This vintage blue 1957 Timo Sarpaneva Iittala Bird Bottle in great condition with no chips or crack. Measures approximately 6 inch tall by 4 1/2 wide. Its marked on the bottom (see photo).
Timo Sarpaneva Bird bottle Lintupullo gray signed art glass Iittala Finland
Classic Timo Sarpaneva round bird bottle from Finland. Hand blown thin glass. Lintupullo is a Finnish name for the Bird bottle. Designed by Timo Sarpaneva in 1956 and manufactured in Iittala Glass Factory until 1968. Color is original i-color gray which was mixed with purple color and has a small purple hint depending on the light. I have owned many bird bottles. The problem with these is finding ones without grayness (water stains). Sometimes luckily they are cleanable and sometimes it’s already in a state of glass sickness. Yes there might be small normal signs of use but the bottle is free from grayness, has wonderful shape and original color. Signed “Timo Sarpaneva Iittala -58″ so this is early production piece. Stands approx 16.5 cm tall. I post world wide and wrap with care. All my items are insured for lost or broken I’m happy to answer all your questions.
