Timo Sarpaneva Purple/ Amethyst Glass Bird Bottle, designed in 1956 and in production by Iittala Finland from 1957 to 1966. Lintupullo is Finnish for “bird bottle”. It is signed TS on the base and has the original Iittala sticker on the neck. The sticker shows significant wear related damage and discoloration. Purple or amethyst was one of the 4 different colors in the i-colour series used by Iittala in the 1950s. The other colours were Blue, Gray and Green. Height: 190 mm/ 7 1/2 inches.
